Notes on a Balsamic Moon

just wondering, did anyone else catch the spectacular balsamic moon in cancer rising in the early pre-dawn last week tuesday?

and if you did catch it, about 2:30am east coast,
- did you notice anything unusual about the energy around it?

have never actually intentionally gone out to ceremonially consider the balsamic moon, ... and WOW was it something~! ....breathtaking, and absolutely magical

and so was the atmosphere, with the low drumming sound of the waves so close and crashing up on the shore of rocks.
we just arrived, though quite late at the Wildwood Park campgrounds in Wading River, on the Long Island Sound. various delays held us up, and, if we got there any earlier, we would have not seen the moon rise, rather we would have been fast asleep.....

the balsamic moon hung low and so bright, a glowing sliver in the shape of a smile. the rest, a silhouette. in between the treetops, the constellation Taurus, The Sisters Pleiades, Aries, one Fish and later on, more towards the South, also in partial view, the unmistakable 3 stars of Orion's Belt ....

the night air was unusually sweet, sparkling, warm and poignant with a mystical ambient that lends itself to the creation of myths.
one could so easily imagine a trio of happy yet serious and beautiful witches, standing around a large smoking cauldron, preparing a dynamic elixir for long life and perfect health....
or a young woman with long blonde hair flowing down her back, walking in a white satin gown sprinkled with little star-like periwinkle flowers, the delicate air breezes softly on her skin.... she is connecting to the earth as she walks through the forest, and quietly merging into the gentle yet intoxicating power from the source that moves the wind ......
one could also easily imagine a dashing mysterious man with a black cape and hat with a low top and brim, riding on a wild and sleek dark brown horse. As they gallop through the trees to some untold destination, the mysterious man carries a message, a message that will ultimately bring forth the prophetic destiny of two lover's, a noble future about to unfold.

a balsamic moon like this is truly a time where the first myth may have been born

the soul-being of one born under a balsamic moon is utterly and completely different than say one being born under a full moon or a new moon or any of the other cycles.
very revealing these cycles, ....as rudhyar offered and others following have written, and i would tend to agree, (based mostly on personal experience), that in particular, a balsamic individual lives with similarities very close in nature to the intensity of chirotic influences, or the underworld expressions of a moon/pluto conjunct.

scientific side note: the electro magnetic fields of the earth apparently are also undergoing changes. some report distortions. these alterations are effecting our ability to think clearly, and some are finding they are experiencing more fatigue, as in needing to go to bed earlier, or take naps on a regular basis. memory lapses seem to be the most obvious affliction across the board. all ages.
at least there is a reason for all this forgetting other than aging or mind disorders.

BELTANE has got to be the best Age of Taurus holiday creation.
and Mother's day is another day to remember the Great Sacred Feminine Mysteries of the Inner Temple

Neptune, Vivaldi and the Aquarian Influence Part ll

ok ---- ---->>>> Two weeks ago it was raining fat wet drops and we free-associated on my radio show, The Aquarian Hour, into a beautiful water meditation with Vivaldi's Four Seasons singing in the background.
We also went over the morning's planetary alignment and checked out the essential nature of each of the Zodiacal Archetypes highlighted for the Day.

Rain and Water - and Aquarius, the main theme.
- Neptune, Venus, Mercury, Sun and the Nodes were all in Aquarius.

while speaking on water - one of those intuitive blasts takes over - Vivaldi the 18thc
composer is definitely influenced by Aquarius!!! First - his music is being played for the first time on The Aquarian Hour during the month of February when the Sun rises in Aquarius. Second, I suddenly just downloaded Vivaldi the week before.

Surprised to find renewed pleasure in the Four Seasons again. Just as i had done long long ago when i was in my 20's and my English ex-husband Lincoln Collins and i played Vivaldi just about every single Sunday in our little old but sunny NYC floor-thru apartment on Perry St in the West Village. We put Four Seasons on mid morning and it kept playing until mid afternoon.... we would brunch, usually on bagels with the works, and read the Sunday Times, chill, and both quietly merge into the vibrant qualities of the music. Uplifting and restorative.

Recommended Vivaldi for teens and young adults especially. Giving a gift of Vivaldi to young adults is a good idea for raising the frequency of inner joy.

Aquarius, an air sign, is associated with the unusual, humanitarian influences, revolutionary attitudes, an inventive ability, plus those with a futuristic orientation. The ruler of Aquarius is Uranus, planet of sudden change, insight, and breaking through into new territory. Add Neptune in Aquarius to the mix and we stream in the waters, of the ocean, and water, in general.

Looking up Vivaldi's chart on the internet during The Hour and its says Vivaldi was born with three points in Aquarius, Venus, Mars and Neptune! Moreover, it turns out Vivaldi was having a Neptune RETURN! Both Neptune today and Neptune in 1723 was travelling in the sign of Aquarius.

In the near future, when Neptune moves into Pisces in 4/2011 we will never again experience Neptune in Aquarius in our lifetimes. Yet for sure, we can experience Neptune in Aquarius from other lifetimes, yes, through the inspirational music, art, architecture and literature created from those times.
Actually knowledge of a planetary return could be the basis for planning the best time for a revival of different artistic episodes of antiquity.

In conclusion, after reading a bit on Vivaldi on the Wikipedia sight, Vivaldi was considered to have broken through to a new level of music previously unknown before and as such was true to the radical unusual futuristic Aquarian ground-breaking influence promised in his natal chart.

Water, Energy Medicine and the Spiritual Influences of Neptune Part 1

It was raining big fat wet watery drops this morning at 8am as i presented The Aquarian Hour at the community, non-profit radio station where i host a weekly Tuesday morning program. I was totally unprepared in any way for this morning's show.

Then again, other than finding the most beautiful music to air, the less preparation for my radio program, the less preset-info to distract from a free-association-platform.
Some programmers account for every minute and present a very polished show.
Winging it entirely is like invoking the Muses as soon as i begin to say,
"Good morning, this is Forest, and you are listening to The Aquarian Hour."

ABOUT THE WATER
Ok so this morning, we have rain instead of heavy snows and ice, and so naturally the topic opens to a fairly unknown process of absorbing the qualities of water.

A discourse begins on the ancient methods of DzogChen, a highly evolved metaphysical Tibetan spiritual path that i had studied years ago. i had sort of forgotten about this practice until reminded by a sweet passage in a book, "Eat, Pray, Love" where a medicine man in Bali employs a similar method of contemplation every evening.

For cleansing, nourishment and renewal, this ancient healing practice is designed to allow the practitioner to merge with the essences of each of the elements on earth, one at a time - including, wind, water, earth, fire and the 5th element is typically defined as either - space or ether or light or metal.

The DzogChen teachings also include chanting the Tibetan names for each element while absorbing their qualities. The belief is this practice is a way to achieve an internal/external balance, and a mystical spiritual unity through a blending of one's consciousness into the subtle vibrational frequencies of elements found within our natural universe.

......as we inhale and exhale slow and deep, we imagine clearly our floating on our backs easily as though like a dream, floating down a river, splashing waters, and now we are allowing the waters to the touch us inside and we feel a lively spiraling sun-lit river vibrantly coursing through our systems, and see how it is replenishing our blood and ionizing our organs with fresh sparkling happy water, ...................................

..............and now.............we enter another dimension in consciousness...
we are merging into tiny particles of water.....and now

we are liquid!

we are mist

we are the moisture in the atmosphere!

we can actually feel our dna strands spiraling brighter

a new reality has been created with an over-the air meditation on The Aquarian Hour and all the while Vivaldi's "Four Seasons", a magnificent work of violin music totally dedicated to the glory of nature, is playing softly in the background.

we are experiencing a regime change in process as the democratic ways of the constitution are eroding....

astrologers have been looking at this time for the past 20 years.

never did we ever think even for a second, it would be our own american government instituting a new political system. we thought america and democracy were inseparable. we have all taken for granted that our american constitution would always be in effect.

well, not really......abe lincoln was also aware of the big bucks made from private industry during wars.....and the shifting of powers as a result

and everything will be all right

best strategy - do good deeds, and think positive and beautiful thoughts as much as possible - here's an example -- even though the political system has corruptive influences, the spirit of the universe is far more compelling a system to have faith in. in fact as i offer my faith and devotion to this One being of the entire universe, i am always uplifted in a gentle and flowing manner.

today, sept 12, hey, this is the third day of the 5 day nutritive cleanse. usually i cannot fast at all, the products are helping significantly....it's so great to stop eating all the usual foods, detox the sludge of excess free radicals, nourish the cells, and just become lighter

using YOUNG LIVING products for a year and just recently received a bright light to accept fully on a daily basis

this is what im doing in case anyone wants to know:

1 - mixing the protein complete with balance complete and add my own stash of powdered siberian ginseng to the mix
2 - 3x times daily i take probiotics, enzymes, 1 omega blue and 1 inner defense
3 - today adding another ounce of ningia red to make it 3 oz 3x daily

also enjoy several big olives to contract and stabilize my system, usually later on towards the evening,
also may go outside and pick some red cherry tomatoes growing on my beautiful deck garden.

just returned on thursday after 2 months of sufi retreat, i feel balanced.
thank goodness, no real pains, no usual stresses or tensions or grief....

and went off to the US Open on friday. rather peaceful to be with 50,000 people who are in a relatively good mood. and the tennis was not bad either.

now updating my website. it's going to be changing completely i think as i move more
into shamanic healing, sufism, shamanic astrology, dance meditation and capitalism
somehow i will figure it out. give me a month or so....

discovered a couple of things out there in the desert.
and one of them is the need for daily breathing, like all day long,
to be aware of the breath so that it is calm and not rushed when speaking
seems more important than any other one thing for keeping a state of inner balance

We caught some shooting stars here blazing across the sky on the eve of the perseid shower. it was like natural fire works. did you see them on the east coast?

yesterday we went into albuquerque to swim at a new hotel with a really nice outdoor pool just by the sandia mountains. then we went off to santa fe for a drive and to have dinner.

the food was tasty but far too rich
today its back to semi-fasting again with glasses of 1/4 unsweetened cherry juice mixed with spring water. and then just salad and veggies.

being light within regarding digesting foods is far more enhancing to the sufi retreat

Greetings from the desert/mountains of SE Albuequerque. My tiny hut has a little view of the treetops and sky. here on a sufi retreat.....
processing continues to relate to the actions of being healed. and the offerings of being healer... all at the same time...
for me, this is the way of chiron, the wounded healer, and chiron also is strongly prevalent in my personal natal chart and also highlighted now and for the next two years.

understanding pain, dealing with crisis, those dark emotional centers belonging to the "underworld', and then, accessing the celestial world, to bring healing to this world, chiron yes, and equally, the way of the shaman, healing with natural forces and substances...

i feel like a good title for my work may be sufi shaman.

while on retreat i am also doing healing sessions, astro readings and counseling transmissions via phone or email...

let me quickly explain the email way of dialogue... i call it the "emuse"... there is a protocol. it works really well. and is exceptional and provocative for long distance healing and counseling and transmission....
you and i converse weekly .......for profound and immediate positive changes that you are seeking.....very healing on all levels....we work with what is practical and also are scoping out the highest possible overview for any given situation(s)

there's a deer in the backyard

walking over to the window a large deer with its gentle grayish downy head munching softly on the grass. two birds, the deer's companions, flying about and chirping up a little morning chorus. exactly like in a disney film, the cute tiny little birds are flying playfully around the deer, and the deer pays them no attention...the deer is interested in breakfast... the birds are wanting to entertain and play with the deer. and they appear to love and respect this deer very much....
the deer lifts its head to sense the air, listening, sniffing, considering or contemplating the entire environment. for a very long time.
it doesn't see me because i am on the second level. but maybe it knows someone is watching?

the birds continue to flit about and then rest in the nearby brush, until one of the birds gets ancy and flies close to the deer's chest and gives it a little knock with its beak, but the deer's concentration is focused elsewhere. the deer acts like the birds are little children...

finally the bird gives up and flies back to its branch near the other bird.. they twit and tweat and wait even longer for the deer to move on along.
finally the deer begins to recede into the woods and the two little birds excitedly follow it along its path....

suddenly, like so fast, two deer come running and charging across our path from the open fence doors on the farm field to the left.
the deer are running like crazy as fast they possibly can to get across the street and over to the wooded graze on the right... the sheep in the distance are sooooo loud..... baaaahhh!!!!!
something is happening ... within the animal field of perception... had we actually lived near the animals, it would only be a matter of time before we could probably have known what was causing such a chorus of baahing and excitement.

i look over to the left sensing more animals to come forth. and sure enough, an adorable entourage of 6 younger deer, wanting to cross in front of us as did their leaders, but they were too frightened of us humans, so they turned away from the road after a few moments taking in the situation, eventually deciding to run away in another direction. they will surely meet up with their parents or leaders later on...

always a sign when a wild animal is presented to us... with the deer we are looking at that kind of instinctive hesitancy, to avoid possible danger, and the need for protection in open fields........and to have allies.....

so interesting is the contact with any wild life......

today,
driving to the stockbridge motors to see what is up with the brakes of my car...

it's early in the morning,

now a very very large bird, appears, it's so large it must be an eagle....?

s/he flies in front of my view, and low down,
flying low
and seriously right in front of my eyes,
how amazing is this?
s/he's so low i can see its wings and body from above,
the wings expanse goes from one end of the road to the other,,,
and still flying straight ahead,

this bird is taking me for a wild ride ...and for what seems a very long time

and then,
s/he curves up and flies up towards the South....

Recently attended an intense and powerful course on shamanic healing.
there were 140 people there. Mostly Body Workers. And small business owners, computer Techies, Psychotherapists, and Medical Doctors and Nurses, and Care providers and Dancers too.

also other shamans who were there to demonstrate and teach the training. Alberto Villoldo led the coursework. He is an anthropologist and psychotherapist and author of quite a few books on Shamanism. What i like about this approach is that the once secretive nature of shamanic healing is now freely available. The new shamans are going to emerge from the West we are told.

The sessions, which are called Healing the Light Body, or doing Illuminations, when they are experienced, are for me profound. The system goes into the deepest places and it's so deeply restful and healing.

We were initiated into a Shamanic tradition, from Peru, Inka lineage.
We are encouraged to practice the healing of the light body with at least 12 other people to develop our newly inspired healing skills.

what i am keeping open to is the possibility to combine shamanic healing with shamanic astrology.....

we see what happens.....

our plane arrived about 11pm
and the shuttle drove us way way out far to the most emptiest desolate parking lot furthest from the airport. and this was God's parking lot...
